| GRANTS Grants are gift-aid programs that do not have to be repaid. Grants are based on a needs analysis formula and most grants are distributed on a first-completed, first-awarded basis. FEDERAL PELL GRANT - This grant is based upon financial need and is only available to undergraduate students. It constitutes the foundation of a financial assistance package. Pell grants are awarded on a full-time, full-year basis. However, your award will be adjusted to match your enrollment on the official day of census (twelfth class day for the long sessions and fourth class day for the summer sessions). FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANT (FSEOG) - This grant is based upon exceptional financial need and is available only to undergraduate students. You must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis on the official day of census to receive this award. TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY-CORPUS CHRISTI GRANT (TAMU-CC GRANT) - This grant is based on exceptional financial need and is available only to undergraduate students. You must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis on the official day of census to receive this award. TEXAS PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL GRANT (TPEG) - This state grant is available to undergraduate and graduate students with financial need. This grant is awarded to both resident and non-resident students. You must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis on the official day of census to receive this award. LEVERAGING EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE GRANT (LEAP) - This federal/state grant is available to assist undergraduate and graduate students with financial need. This grant was formally know as the SSIG grant. TOWARDS EXCELLENCE, ACCESS, AND SUCCESS GRANT(TEXAS GRANT) - This is a state grant available to undergraduate students with financial need. Recipients must meet specific eligibility requirements. Students must be enrolled on at least a 3/4 time basis on the official day of census to receive this award. Students must complete 75% of their classes attempted and maintain a 2.5 GPA to receive continued aid the following academic year.
