at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, was greeted by Corpus Christi
Area Council of IRA. Peggy Lara, Tina Ybarra, Mary Beth Tierce, Pam, Amy
Duran, Frank Rodriguez, Mapuana Jones, Marsha Grace.
Our limo whisks us to the conference in Texas hospitality style.
Corpus Christi literacy leaders welcome Pam to the university. Mary
Beth Tierce, Patty Walter, Pam, Dr. Corinne Valadez, Tina Ybarra, Peggy
Lara.
Pam visits with Charlie Flint about the books Pam has written.
Barbara Flanigan, owner of Rainbow Books, sold Pam's books as well as
other good titles at the conference.
After the conference, Pam visited Rainbow Books at 3744 Alameda in Corpus
Christi. Chuck and Barbara Flanigan share their love of and commitment to
great literature by operating the best bookstore for children in all of
Texas. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Flanigan who take care of so many of the
teachers and readers in south Texas.
Pam gave us one last gift before she left for Long Island; and that
gift was a pose for posterity at Rainbow Books. Thanks Pam.
