Angela Huddleston

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Jeanette Holloway and her foundation for the chance I was given this semester to have an internship with the Women’s Center for Education and Service at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.

This internship has given me an amazing opportunity to learn about and actively participate in event planning. Throughout this semester I have learned just how much can go into an event and how important timely preparation can be.

I’ve also gained an insurmountable amount of knowledge about team work in an office environment. I’ve learned that delegation and asking for help is not as horrible as I once thought. Organization is also a skill that has blossomed for me while working at the Women’s Center.

This internship has already opened my eyes to the opportunities that will await me after my graduation in Fall 2007 and has given me more confidence in my ability to effectively plan events. It is Jeanette Holloway that I’d like to thank for this experience at a wonderful workplace. This experience has influenced me greatly and I will carry what I’ve learned here with me throughout my future professional endeavors.
