Paws For A Cause - October 5,2007

The Women's Center and Recreational Sports team up to host Paws for A Cause - a fundraising dog walk that first began in October of 2006. There is a $5 entry fee and all proceeds of the walk will benefit First Friday, a local group that underwrites free mammograms for South Texans in need. Want to participate but don't have a dog? Well you're in luck. This year the Gulf Coast Humane Society will be on hand to lend out dogs to those who wish to participate in this event but who do not have a dog of their own. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about how to adopt a dog while you're at the event. For more information on the Gulf Coast Humane Society, please check out their website.

Students, faculty, community members, and student organizations are welcome and encouraged to attend the event, to help volunteer, and to participate in the various contests for a chance to win prizes.

Registration Forms

PAWS Safety Waiver - In order to make your check in as easy as possible, please have your safety waiver already filled out when you come to sign in at the First Friday table.

Pinkest Pooch & Pinkest Pair Contest Rules & Entry Form - If you would like to participate in any of these contests please have your entry form completely filled out and you can either turn them in at our office (University Center 303) or you can turn them in on the day of the event when you register.

Student Organization Pinkest Collar Contest Rules & Entry Form - If your student organization would like to participate in this contest please have your entry forms completely filled out and turned into the Women's Center office (University Center 303) no later than September 27, 2007. At that time your organization will be supplied with a collar to decorate. Completed collars must also be turned into the the Women's Center office no later than 5:00pm on October 4, 2007. Any collars that are turned in after that time will be disqualified.
