What is the Women's Center?

The Women's Center is a dedicated group of students, staff, faculty, and community members who proactively work to enhance knowledge and awareness of gender issues at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. We assist in university efforts to create diverse, inclusive, and sensitive campus environment. The Center extends education, provides services, and promotes the development of Women's potential. We also serve as a safe haven for women to voice their concerns and a support system as they seek equity.

Who Participates in Center Activities and Projects?

Each year since its inception, the Center has enjoyed a growing volunteer base drawn from students, staff, faculty and members of the community. A professional Director and Secretary conduct the business of the Center, but decisions are made primarily by a 21-member Advisory Council, consisting of 6 students, 6 staff, 1 community, and 8 faculty seats.
