Current Staff The
Women's Center is currently staffed by
a
full-time Director, a part-time secretary, and several
part-time student employees. Rhonda Williamson
Rhonda Wilson Williamson, MS, has been the Director of the Women's Center for Education and Service since September 2006. She had previously been the Women's Center Coordinator since September 2001. Rhonda began her work with the Center in 1999 as our first Women's History Month intern. She became the Center' Senior Secretary in August 2000. She earned her BA in communication from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in May of 2001 and her Masters in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in December of 2007. Rhonda serves her community by participating on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Corpus Christi, an organization focused on empowering girls and women and eliminating racism. Rhonda loves her job because it allows her to do something different every day and work with other women in the pursuit of equality. Rhonda is the proud mother of a new daughter - another woman to work with. Rhonda is also the advisor for the Middle Eastern Dance Club here at TAMUCC. Amber Marcil - Amber Marcil is a Senior majoring in Sociology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She has been working with the Women's Center as a Student Assistant and Website Manager since October 2005. Amber was nominated for the National Student Employee of the Year award in April of 2007. In September of 2007 she was hired as the new full-time Senior Secretary. She enjoys everything about working here at the Women's Center, especially program and event planning. She plans on continuing to work at the Women’s Center after her graduation so she can continue to bring quality educational programming to other TAMUCC students. Charlcy Moczygemba
Charlcy Moczygemba - Charlcy Moczygemba is a Senior Theatre major at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Her emphasis is Directing and she is pursuing a teacher certification with plans to become a high school theatre teacher when she graduates in May 2009. Charlcy is also the Historian of the Last Act Theatre Company and is very involved in the Theatre Department at TAMUCC. Charlcy was very honored when given the opportunity to pursue an internship with the Women's Center. She is thrilled to be directing the Vagina Monologues this Spring in celebrating the 10th Year Anniversary of the V-Day Campaign. Charlcy was a part of the campaign last year as an actress in the Vagina Monologues. She couldn't have asked for a more perfect cast and crew to work with this year and is very grateful to be a part of such a wonderful and amazing group of Women at the Women's Center. Claire Renae Burns - Claire is a freshman at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi majoring in communication. She is originally from San Antonio, Texas. Claire enjoys singing, acting, and loves planning! This is her first year as the Junior Special Events intern. Prior to working with the Women’s Center, she interned under Marilyn Koch at John Marshall High School in San Antonio as the Gifted and Talented/ Independent Study Mentorship Special Events Coordinator. She was the publicity coordinator for the JMHS Theater Department in which she also actively directly and indirectly participated. While with the Women’s Center, she hopes to contribute her fervor and energy for organizing. Claire plans to pursue a career in event coordination and public relations after graduating in 2011. |
