This WebQuest was created as partial fulfillment for ETEC 5310:Telecommunications in Education, at Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi, during the summer of 2000. Purpose The content was designed to aid 3rd and 4th grade students in accomplishing certain performance standards for social studies, language arts, and technology, according to Real-World Academic Standards, Standards for the New Millennium, PreK - Grade 6 (Corpus Christi Independent School District, Corpus Christi, Texas, 1999-2000).
Students will need to have basic computer literacy skills, such as basic word processing knowledge and introduction to the Internet. In addition, knowledge of a computer paint program will be helpful.
