Corpus Christi IRA Reading Council Fall/Winter
Volume I
Happy Holidays! Don't forget while you are shopping to pick up some
board baby books for our literacy project "Board Books for Babies".
We have ordered drawstring bags for each mother at the Teenage Mother's
School (TAMS) here in Corpus. Our goal is to have at least 2 books per bag
with some information on the value of reading to your child. We are expecting
to hand out 60 bags. This is our third year to work with TAMS in promoting
literacy and the response of the mothers in the last two years was encouraging.
We are about halfway to our goal, and would like to hand out the bags in
April. Thanks for your help.
