Through the "Supporting Educators" program we provide area teachers with training, resources and equipment, field trips for teachers and their students, technical assistance, university faculty partnerships, and guest speakers / advisors from government and industry.

Teachers in the classroom Teachers receive "hands-on" training in a "Clean Air Challenge" air quality workshop. Air quality is a high priority in the Coastal Bend.






Flour Bluff Science Academy Flour Bluff Science Academy students examine field gear and a computer microscope provided by the "Supporting Educators" program.






Teaching Environmental Science Teachers receive field-based environmental education training and graduate credit in the "Teaching Environmental Science I & II" courses. Here they visit a created wetlands at Koch Refining. These are field intensive graduate credit courses for K-8 and 9-12 teachers, respectively.
