History

The Annual Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Employee Excellence Awards program is sponsored by the Staff Advisory Council (SAC). This program recognizes three exceptional staff employees for their contribution to the University and its mission.


Employees are nominated in early spring and should meet one of the following criteria categories as listed on the nomination ballot “Excellence, Engagement or Expansion.”  Nominations are reviewed by a committee consisting of two employees appointed by the University Provost and Vice-President of Finance, two employees appointed by the SAC President (a current council member and a previous award winner), and one recent retiree selected by the HR Director.


Winners are announced at the Employee Service Awards Ceremony.  Each winner receives a personalized acrylic award of recognition, a $500 check, and their name on the “Employee Excellence Award Plaque” (located at the entrance to the University Administrative Offices on the second floor of Corpus Christi Hall).
