If you would like to apply to be a tutor, a technical support assistant, or an office assistant, please stop by the TLC office in room 216 in the Bell Library and pick up an application or print the application and reference forms from the following links and turn them in to the TLC office.

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Job Description

Required : minimum sophomore standing; 3.0 GPA, content-competency (to be determined by professor recommendation in designated area), good interpersonal and communication skills, approval of selected course professor.

Preferred : junior or senior standing.

Duties : Attend trainings, introduce SI and survey class, attend all class lectures, take notes, read all assigned material, conduct three weekly SI sessions, meet with professor regularly to discuss material for SI session preparation, meet regularly with SI Supervisor to discuss attendance, progress and strategies, collect attendance data, collect grade course data from professor, prepare SI exam and end-of-term reports, and meet with SI supervisor at the end of term for debriefing

Schedule : 10 hours per week during semester. SI program is offered in the fall and the spring semester. Positions are assigned per semester, only.
